  3.     This panel asks you to choose either
  4.     WinNET Communications, Inc., or an alternative 
  5.     provider of your choice for receiving your 
  6.     Internet/Usenet Mail/News services.
  7.  
  8.     If you choose WinNET Communications as your service
  9.     provider, the setup process is somewhat simpler, as
  10.     a number of default set up parameters do not need
  11.     to be entered and an automatic account setup module
  12.     is supplied which makes it very easy to
  13.     electronically set up an account with us.  Also, if
  14.     you choose WinNET Communications, we can provide
  15.     comprehensive free technical support covering both
  16.     our software and service.

  18.     If you choose an alternative provider, you will
  19.     have to make arrangements for your account with
  20.     that provider, and will have to very carefully
  21.     enter the correct system information supplied by
  22.     your provider to successfully log on to your
  23.     provider's system to transmit mail and news.  You
  24.     may also have to customize the file chat.rc which
  25.     is generated by when you complete the setup
  26.     process. This file is a script which allows WinNET
  27.     to negotiate the login process properly with the
  28.     remote server. (The script generated by setup, if
  29.     you choose WinNET Communications as your provider, 
  30.     will not require any modifications). Detailed instructions on
  31.     working with the chat.rc file are contained in the
  32.     file chat.txt.

  37.     WinNET Communications offers unrestricted access to
  38.     Internet Mail and to all available Usenet news
  39.     groups, including Clarinet (at no extra charge). 
  40.     WinNET Communications offers the following terms for
  41.     use of its services:

  45.     The WinNET service is billed on a monthly flat rate
  46.     basis of

  48.                 $19.95 per month.

  50.     This provides service for up to

  52.                 four (4) connect hours per month.

  54.     Usage beyond the first four hours is billed at the rate
  55.     of

  57.                 $5.40 per hour.

  59.     When you use the direct dial number you get

  61.                twenty (20) connect hours per month.

  63.     Usage beyond the first twenty hours is billed at the rate
  64.     of $1.00 per hour.

  66.     Service is billed on a calendar month basis.  The flat
  67.     rate and the corresponding four connect hours are
  68.     prorated in the first and last calendar month of
  69.     service.

  71.     Connect time is recorded in increments of one minute. 
  72.     Fractions of minutes are billed as full minutes.  All
  73.     amounts are denominated in U.S. dollars.

  77.     Toll free 800 number service access is provided free of
  78.     charge within the U.S.

  80.     Canadian toll free 800 number service access is also 
  81.     available.  The WinNET Service charge of $19.95 gives 
  82.     1.5(one and one half) hours of access and a charge of 
  83.     $15.40 per hour thereafter.

  86.     P a y m e n t

  88.     Payment.  As part of your account registration we
  89.     request a credit card number for payment.  You will be
  90.     charged $19.95 when you first establish your account as
  91.     payment of first month of service.

  93.     You will be sent a statement of account usage via
  94.     WinNET mail after the end of the month.  Your credit 
  95.     card will be charged for the amount on the statement.

  100.     E n d i n g   S e r v i c e

  102.     If you choose to terminate your account on WinNET, all 
  103.     you need to do is contact us by WinNET Mail (accounts@win.net), 
  104.     letter, or telephone.  We will end your service on
  105.     the date that you request and prorate your
  106.     charge for that month accordingly.

  112.     the content of the information passing through the
  113.     WinNET system.  WinNET Communications is not responsible
  114.     for the accuracy, quality, or content of the information
  115.     obtained through its service.  WinNET Communications makes
  116.     no warranty, whether expressed or implied, for the
  117.     service it offers.  WinNET Communications disclaims any
  118.     warranty of merchantability of fitness for a particular
  119.     purpose.

  121.     WinNET Communications makes no warranty whether expressed
  122.     or implied for the WinNET Mail software.  No warranty of
  123.     merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose is
  124.     provided for the WinNET Mail software.

  126.     WinNET may only be used for lawful purposes.
  127.     Transmission of any material in violation of United
  128.     States law, laws of the nation in which WinNET is used,
  129.     or state law or regulation is prohibited.  This 
  130.     includes, but is not limited to: copyrighted material,
  131.     material legally judged to be threatening or obscene, or
  132.     material protected by trade secret.  You agree to
  133.     indemnify and hold harmless WinNET Communications from any
  134.     claims resulting form your use of the WinNET service or
  135.     WinNET Mail software which damages you or another party.
